The conservatory is a delight with views across the walled garden with its lovely enclosed garden and orchard making it suitable for children and adults alike. The bedrooms with their combed ceilings are comfortable, cosy and quiet. This traditional period house is welcoming, immaculately presented and it makes an excellent and comfortable base for up to 8 people to enjoy all that this part of the world has to offer, at a very competitive rate.
The property is located on the Clan Anderson Estate lands with the majestic Criffel hill as a backdrop and overlooking the Solway coast known as the Scottish Riviera warmed by the Gulf Stream. From here you can explore all the biking trails the area is famous for or perhaps just enjoy the dramatic coastlines, sandy beaches, magnificent gardens and castles. Wildlife abounds, with the RSPB nature reserves just along the coast. Golf, fishing, riding, and sailing available. There is Mabie Farm Park and the Galloway Activity Centre for the children to enjoy.

From Dumfries take the A710 South-marked Solway Coast. Continue on this road until you reach New Abbey. As you enter the village the road swings left and there is a pub called Abbey Arms on the right. Take the small road that goes up beside this. You will come to the duck pond. Take an immediate left there. Sweetheart House, Abbeybank gates are in front of you here. The house is on the left.
